Our work speaks for itself.

The Heart of Orlando is a work that exists between art, architecture, and public space. It is both a sculpture and a gathering place—an icon shaped not only by design, but by the people it represents.

The project draws inspiration from Orlando’s history and its roots in the citrus industry. By studying the structure of an orange, a powerful metaphor for the city itself was discovered: a network of small, interconnected parts held together by an underlying support system and protected by an outer layer marked by time and experience.

Like the orange, a city is more than what we see on the surface. Familiar images—the skyline, the landmarks, the attractions—are only the outer layer. The true identity of a place lies within its communities, its relationships, and the shared experiences that sustain it.

This work is not a singular artistic gesture imposed on the city. Instead, it emerges from a collective process—one that invites participation, reflection, and connection. The Heart of Orlando is meant to reflect the people who shape the city and to serve as a space where their stories continue to grow.

At its core, the project is about looking deeper—recognizing that what holds a city together is not just its image, but the lives within it.
